To Our TechUG Community Friends,
On behalf of the national committee, we all hope that you and your family are safe during these unprecedented events and that you are being supported by your employer. Over the past few weeks, we have been closely monitoring the latest updates from the government and international health organizations regarding COVID-19. Considering recent developments and the rapid impact that the virus is having across the globe, we wanted to update you on what is happening with the TechUG Community.
What’s next for TechUG?
We have decided to bring future TechUG Community Events to you virtually in place of our regular face-to-face meetings. This will be done through a regular series of Interactive Webinars and a larger Virtual Event. Get ready by marking your calendar for 30th April 2020 for the Virtual Event. Registration information and agendas will follow shortly. We’ll announce further information on the TechUG Community App, community blog, Twitter and Linkedin. If you’re interested in supporting the webinar series or virtual event with either speaking, sponsoring or general support then please contact us
Why did TechUG make this decision?
We can’t stress enough the importance of ensuring our community, their family, friends and work colleagues remain healthy and safe during this time. Having spoken to many of you, we know that many teams are experiencing a significant amount of change as we adapt to the worlds largest Working from Home Experiment. Most of you will have experienced a rush to support remote workers, we hope that you haven’t been too overwhelmed. If you are struggling please do let us know to see how we can help you. Considering recent developments and the rapid impact that the virus is having across the world, the decision to suspend f2f events and explore other options was an easy one.
When will TechUG f2f community events resume?
Our best estimate at the moment is mid-June and we have reserved some new dates for some of our community events in June and July but we’ll be keeping a close eye on government announcements and update you as soon as anything changes. We are hoping to schedule a normal Autumn Calendar.
What if I am a community sponsor?
TechUG does not exist without the continued support of our sponsors. We look forward to working with you to create the best possible outcome for this situation. Our Community lead, Mike England will be reaching out to all sponsors to discuss opportunities for us to move forward together. Should you have further questions or needs, contact Mike at email@example.com for support.
Who do I contact for more information?
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have general event questions.
Keep safe and stay in touch.
All the best
